Microsoft Powerpoint 2007 problem.?

I am using Powerpoint on my mac, the 2007 version for windows, but I’m using it through bootcamp on windows professional 7.

I used to be able to use to use this program (Powerpoint) without any problems. However, as of lately, whenever I try to type ANYTHING, even one letter, it freezes and quits because of an “unexpected problem”, and for some reason the computer can solve it. I can copy/paste, and do pretty much everything else except for type. I can type in Microsoft word etc.

I have a very important project due in the the next few weeks, and I downloaded the trial version of Microsoft Office 2010 to try and finish it. For some reason I can’t type in the 2010 version either. I have used packs and updated it completely, but I’m not sure what is wrong. Help?

The free trial is only good for a certain time period and number of uses. Once that period goes by, you can only view, not edit, your PowerPoint files.
