I am planning to buy a motorola xoom tablet with android 3.0
should i buy this tablet?will it support sim card for gprs?

Yes, will support SIM for GPRS / EDGE / 3G. The WiFi version will not have SIM slot, it only runs on WiFi. The 3G+WiFi version will have the SIM slot.
Xoom runs on Android 3.1 (HoneyComb). It’s a good tablet but it’s expensive. If you’re gonna spend this much, why not buy the awesome Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ? It will be much better than the Motorola Xoom.
There are other tablets like the Apple iPad 2, Asus Transformer, LG Optimus Pad, HTC Flyer, etc.
